  • eBay for Charity Charity Ribbon News 2011

  • December 15, 2011
  • Exciting changes coming to MissionFish
  • We've slashed our deduction to 5% or less on all donations: more money for your mission when you need it most.
  • We want to help make 2012 your best year yet, so we are pleased to announce that we're permanently slashing our donation deduction. Starting January 1, 2012, we will never keep more than 5% of any donation we handle, and sometimes we'll keep less.
  • At the same time, we are transferring our donation processing services from the Points of Light Institute to our newly established 501c3 nonprofit – the PayPal Charitable Giving Fund. As part of this move, we have also updated our Nonprofit User Agreement.
  • The great news is that you'll be receiving more of each donation we handle. Otherwise, the day-to-day impact on your eBay for Charity experience will be negligible: the MissionFish website and your nonprofit account features won't change, and you'll get monthly payouts just like you do today. Please notify your accounting team that starting in January, donations made to your organization will come from the "PayPal Charitable Giving Fund".
  • If you have questions about these changes, please contact our Community Care team.
  • Happy holidays and best wishes for the New Year, from all of us at MissionFish and eBay for Charity!
